The lamp is called "UrRo" which is "clock" and "calm" combined in Danish. Briefly explained, this lamp projects the shadow of a clock - it is meant to hang above a dining table and make people be more present and be okay with time passing by. The goal was to create a lamp with a scandinavian and warm look - simple but beautiful.
The materials used for the lamp are plywood and Plexiglas. The rings are cut out in a pyramid pattern on a lasercutter, and the plexiglas is cut out to fit exactly in one of the rings. In the Plexiglas, there is made space for the clockwork. The rings are connected with wire and wire stops. The plywood was treated with teak toned oil to give it a warm color. Furthermore, it enhances the wood structure, which brings another "time" element to the lamp.
